Midwinter Retreat – Finding Stillness

Rest, reflection & meaningful connection for women who are 50+

This retreat is for women who are 50+, who would like to step away from the stresses and pressures of the festive season; who want to take some time for rest and reflection, but who want some meaningful connection too.

The theme is finding stillness. Our nervous systems cry out for it, but it's something many of us struggle with.

What’s on offer:

  • Plenty of time to rest, sleep, read, or chat to the others.

  • The beach and coastal path are on the doorstep, perfect for walking and, for those hardy souls, cold-water swimming.

  • Yoga and breathwork daily (not mandatory! Nothing is mandatory…).

  • Optional group coaching discussions on how to shift self-damaging behaviour patterns (whatever they might be for you – alcohol, sugar, people-pleasing, overwork, staying up too late, self-sabotage, etc…).

  • Nutrition advice on tap!

  • A winter-wellness workshop led by medical herbalist Cath Couzens

  • Nourishing & delicious food

  • The retreat is alcohol-free (of course!).

What people say

“I knew this retreat would be wonderfully restful and inspiring and it was. I also hoped it would help me make some real changes - it has already and I plan to keep them going.

I’ve been thinking why this retreat was so good. I’ve been on a few - various group retreats/courses over the years and some have been great, but this was special. If I could pick one thing it would be the atmosphere. It was so welcoming, warm, cosy, friendly, supportive and fun.

Nothing felt forced, inauthentic or obligatory - the opposite. I felt genuinely cared for, supported and able to go with whatever felt right for me. ”

— Angela - January 2024 Retreat

“Absolutely brilliant. Clear, concise and so helpful. Kind-hearted but utterly professional. It was, for me at any rate, inspiring and on point. I would change nothing. Welcoming, warm and beyond informative.”

Bonus session

I am delighted that Cath Couzens, Consultant Medical Herbalist and Founder of Woodside Apothecary in Cheshire, will be running an evening workshop for us. Cath has a wealth of information about herbs and medicine - her depth of knowledge is astonishing and her workshops are fascinating..

Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to make the traditional winter remedy 'Fire Cider’ (non-alcoholic!) on the Saturday evening of the retreat. Created by blending herbs, spices and apple cider vinegar Cath will share some of the science and folkore behind this seasonal health tonic and you'll take your jar of Fire Cider home with you to enjoy during the winter months.

Retreat facilitated by Lindsey Beveridge

Registered Nutrionist (BANT, CNHC)
Nutrigenomics Practitioner (Lifecode GX)
Transformational Coach (IACTM)
• Kundalini Global Yoga & Breathwork Teacher
• Workshop and retreat facilitator since 2019

I have been running online and in-person workshops and retreats on gut health, mental health, addiction recovery and the menopause transition since 2019.

My personal history of overcoming an alcohol addiction, a nicotine addiction and binge-eating led me to have a special interest in working with people who struggle with alcohol or other damaging substances or behaviours.

Since qualifying as a registered nutritionist in 2019, and later as a transformational coach, I have helped 100s of people quit drinking, and/or lose their sugar habit or change damaging behaviours. I’ve helped them implement positive changes to their diet and lifestyle so they can feel better. I trained as a Kundalini yoga and breathwork teacher because movement and breath are fundamental to healing.

I offer non-judgemental support for people who might be exhausted, anxious, stuck or stressed, and possibly self-medicating, so that life becomes calmer and more manageable.
